The MotoLogix platform allows for Yaskawa robots and components to be directly controlled by a PLC. This allows an operator to program the machine without needing prior knowledge of Yaskawa products, and can be interfaced with all major PLC brands and field busses.
As well as being more intuitive, a major benefit of this software is allowing control of robots and other components (e.g. sensors) in the same program. By integrating all of these operations, more complex functionality can be achieved with little extra difficulty for the programmer. The existing robot controller is relegated to simply processing movements, and converts motion commands from the PLC into kinematic actions.
