At Autoline, we’re always looking for ways to help you enhance productivity and streamline your operations. With the latest updates to OnRobot’s D:PLOY, we’re introducing their new features designed to make automation faster, smarter, and more adaptable, empowering your business to reach new levels of efficiency.

Machine Tending Application Features

Faster Redeployments: Save valuable time with simplified redeployments. D:PLOY now eliminates the need for manual teaching when only the part changes, reducing setup time significantly. Previously, even with the same tray or fixture setup, redeployments required a 3-point teaching system for the infeed and outfeed positions. Now, with consistent trays or fixtures, you only need to update the part dimensions and grip details to get back up and running quickly.

Extend Unattended Running Time: Increase your productivity with longer, unattended running times. D:PLOY’s support for multiple feeding trays allows you to handle larger batches without frequent manual intervention. Previously, a single feeding tray limited the system, but now you can replace additional trays while the automation continues running, maximizing output.

Improved Part Handling: D:PLOY’s enhancements ensure safer and more efficient machine tending. By reducing the speed between the Load approach and Load position, we’ve minimized the risk of collisions due to inertia when loading heavy workpieces into CNC machines. This improvement helps protect your equipment and keep operations running smoothly.

Palletizing Application Features

Interlayer Handling: Make palletizing more straightforward and less time-consuming. D:PLOY now accommodates interlayers that are smaller than the pallet, letting you input the exact dimensions. Previously, the system assumed the interlayer matched the pallet’s top surface, leading to complex paths and validation hurdles. This update simplifies the process, enabling quicker deployments and smoother operations.

Tool Compatibility Enhancements

Maximized Force for 3FG Grippers: D:PLOY now lets you get the most out of your 3FG grippers by using them at their full force capacity. Previously, only the flexible grip function was available—140N for the 3FG15 and 300N for the 3FG25. The latest update enables the standard grip function, allowing you to define target positions and forces to enhance your grip strength and versatility.

Support for Generic Grippers: Adapt to changing requirements with D:PLOY’s expanded support for various generic grippers via DIO, including vacuum grippers, parallel 2-finger grippers, and parallel 3-finger grippers. These options are ideal for tasks that may exceed the capabilities of standard grippers, such as handling heavy, oily metal parts or larger setups. While Autoline grippers provide quick setup and additional functionality, having support for generic options ensures your automation remains flexible for future needs.
